Here's what Yelpers say.

"Love their vegetarian pizzas. we tried the MR. PESTATO HEAD and DRAG IT THRU THE GARDEN and they are very tasty and fresh." Srividya S.

"We got 2 large pizzas - one with sausage and green bell pepper, the other with grilled chicken and jalapenos. They were fabulous!  The crust is a perfect blend of crispy and doughy.  The chicken strips were real chicken chunks and marinated nicely.  The jalapenos seemed like they were accompanied by something else spicy because the pieces that had just one jalapeno slice were super zingy.  Awesome.  Speaking of slices - wow they are filling!  I had to stop after eating less than my usual amount of pizza consumption!" Adrienne P.

Here's what Yelpers say.

"Not my first stop for a burrito but Una Mas does the job and I give a lot of credit to any restaurant that can at least be consistent. The best items on there menu, IMO are: Tortilla Soup (comes with chips) and try a chicken caesar salad (not very mexican but you get to nom the hell out of the fried shell they serve it in)." Michael J.

"If you are looking to feed a lot of people for a great price, Una Mas in Sunnyvale is perfect! I have been using them for catering for over 6 years now. They are always on time, the food is setup for you and the presentation is great. No messy, leaky food and they bring you plates, utensils, napkins and even serving utensils! You can even request ice for your drinks and they will bring that too! The service is awesome and everyone enjoys the food. I always get great feedback when I order Una Mas for my troops at work :). How a GetQuik Standing Order Works

Let's say you have a standing order for bagels every Friday.  How can you simplify this ordering experience?

GetQuik has you covered.  Introducing GetQuik Standing Orders.

Here's how it works:

Setting Up a Standing Order

  1. Go to the transaction history page and choose the "reorder" button.
  2. You will now notice that there is an option to make this order a standing order.  Click the "Setup a Standing Order" button.
  3. Select the Day of the Week and the Request Time for your standing order.
  4. Click the "Set" button.
That's it!  Your standing order is now good to go.

What Happens Now

48 hours before your standing order's request time, your order will be posted, and you are all set.  You can manage your standing order just like any standard GetQuik order.  You can request a change of time, request a cancellation, make an add-on to the order, etc.

Discontinuing a Standing Order

Let's say you no longer need these orders.  No problem.  Cancelling a standing order is easy.  Here's how:
  1. Go to your transaction history for one of your standing orders, and click the "manage order" button.
  2. Click the "Discontinue Standing Order" link.
  3. Click the "Discontinue" button.
Your are done.  Your standing orders will no longer auto-post.

NOTE:  If you have an order that has posted prior to you discontinuing your standing orders, this order will still be live, so you will need to request a cancellation of any already posted orders if necessary.

Menu Updates and Your Standing Orders

Pricing Updates

If there are any pricing updates to the menu that impact your standing order, your order will still post by default, and you will receive a notification on your GetQuik email order notification alerting you to the fact that some menu price changes have impacted your standing order.  Your standing order will then be updated to reflect the current menu prices for your future standing orders.

Menu Changes
If the menu is changed where some of your order items on your standing order are no longer available, you will receive an email alert message. When this scenario occurs (this typically happens less than once a year for most menus), you will be prompted to recreate a new order, and reset a new standing order.  The GetQuik system will help you through this process.

@Scoble Followers - FYI - What GetQuik Does

We got a mention on Robert Scoble's Google+ page.  Enter storm of comments on "why do you exist" and "what makes you different?"

So let's see if we can answer a few of those questions.

Q:  What Problem Do You Solve?
A:  GetQuik's target audience are corporations bringing in lunches and dinners in to their office for their various meeting and events.

Q:  What makes you different from the 381 other online restaurant ordering services and marketplaces?
A:  GrubHub has done a great job of discovering "who delivers to you" for consumers.  GetQuik discovers what catering order criteria a local restaurant is willing to service.

Q:  What?
A:  You might notice that GetQuik has many restaurants who require very large orders, and long lead times required for a delivery.  You might think this is insane and that you would never order $200 of Thai food.  That is probably true for an individual or family, but corporate orders often meet or exceed these minimum delivery service requirements.

Q:  Why would I pay for this service?
A:  You don't.  We offer our service free to our customers.  We make our revenues from transaction fees we earn from our restaurant participants.

Q:  Again, what makes you different from other online ordering services.
A:
  • GetQuik offers a comprehensive listing of restaurants who are willing to offer deliveries to corporations even though many are not equipped to handle consumer delivery orders,
  • Our service is free for our customers to use,
  • GetQuik has extensive corporate ordering tools including:  calendaring tools, a group ordering tool, meal proposal services, meal planning services, advance ordering features, change order features, repeat ordering tools, single-click multi-menu ordering, customer rewards, and account billing solutions,
  • Our service works.
Q:  Who would want to use this service?
A:  GetQuik has thousands of corporate customers using our service, and we have processed north of $10 million in transactions.

 Any other questions?  Contact support@getquik.com.

Thanks!

Lunch with Team Scoble

So yesterday, Jensen and I had some lunch with Team Scoble.  Scobleizer is not an army of one, but instead of team of two.  Robert and Rocky Barbanica (producer).

I met Robert via AngelList and requested a meeting with him May 3rd, 2011.  Robert suggested I check out his Tungle schedule and request a date.  Robert's Tungle schedule had him booked solid for 2.5 months.

Robert is famous in tech circles for the volume of output he produces in reporting tech trends and startups.  Robert gave us his take on the current state of:

  • SOCIAL NETWORKS
Robert's take - Google+ is off to a good start, but Facebook is innovating fast, will likely match features, and has a huge head start.

Advantage - Facebook.
  • APPLE'S NEXT BIG MOVE
Robert's prediction - Apple will take on TV in a big way.  He has been hearing many rumors to that effect, and expects them to execute well.

Watch Out Comcast.
  • MOBILE WARS
Apple has the apps, better technology and will continue to out innovate Android.  Robert is not very keen on Windows Mobile 7.

Advantage - Apple.

  • iTunes versus Spotify
Spotify has legal issues to deal with.  Apple will be in the cloud soon.

Advantage - Apple.

We chatted on a variety of other topics.  The impressive thing about Robert is that he is one of the more genuine, nice, curious, hard-working guys you will meet.  So advice for those looking to meet up with Robert:  Get on his Tungle schedule early.  Another recommendation, order Rocky a Bloody Mary.

Here's what Yelpers say.

"This is a great lunch spot. When I go I usually get the half sandwich and half salad combo. The menu is not nearly as extensive as some sandwich places but instead of permutations of cheap deli meat and wilted veggies, here each sandwich is carefully thought out and made from fresh ingredients." Mario L.

"I am writing because all of the ingredients of a great restaurant are at "Lunch with Tony" - great service, nice environment, quiet setting, delicious coffee and a convenient location (very close to Cisco)." Bill A.

25% off Orders to Panera Bread - San Francisco

Receive a 25% discount when you order from Panera Bread - San FranciscoOffer available from Friday 8/5/2011 through Thursday 8/11/2011

Here's what Yelpers say.

"I like their chocolate croissant and the baked potato soup. Good ambience, free wifi, and good bread/soup. This place would be a perfect place to read books/work on your computer and hang out with your friends. It is located right across the Cal train station (4th & King) and near the city library and mission creek park. Good location and the restaurant is kept clean for the most part." Mayu O.

"I was in the mood for some deli and a soup.  It was well past lunch already and I didn't have breakfast, so I was pretty low on fuel.  I've come to Panera bread a few times in the past but haven't for one year because I was residing in Korea.  It was nice to come to Panera bread again. I had a brocoli cheese soup, bowl sized, and a hot turkey artichoke panini.  Yummy.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself and saw that they offer free wifi, so there was one guy who was really into his laptop - wonder what was it on his screen, ha. The staff looked pretty busy but alert.  They do have a good service.  Def. recommended coming here." Nathan K.
