We rolled out an upgrade to our system today with what we are calling internally, the 'timestamp' feature.
One of the challenges we face in our industry is making sure that restaurants listed in our network provide great food and are reliable. Surprisingly or actually unsurprisingly, the former is easier than the latter. Our customers let us know when restaurants don't provide food that are up to standards, or we find out ourselves through our reviews feature. But finding out whether our restaurants are on time can be more challenging. We do all we can, monitoring orders, sending them reminder codes, and dropping restaurants a call to make sure our orders are on time. And our restaurants partner usually perform great. Most of our orders are on time and we'll love to let them know they are doing a great job. But we also also want to let them know if they are delivering orders late too often.
Here's how you can help us.
When your order arrives, click on the text in the red circle in the email screenshot below to let us know what time the food arrived.
You can also do it through your dashboard by clicking on the icon in the red circle below near the top of the screenshot.
When you click on the icon, or on the 'It's here!' text in your email, we put a time stamp on the order to signal what time the order was delivered. We will be monitoring the aggregate raw data of these responses and sending a report to our restaurants to let them know how great they are doing or how we can work out better processes for them to improve on their delivery punctuality.
There may be times when you click the icon or the text late, i.e., when the order was delivered on time, but you informed us about the order some minutes later. That's okay, we will be looking at the raw data for trends to grab data that will help us figure this out. You know, multivariate statistics analysis and all that. So just go ahead and click the icon or text if you remember to do so.
