Mia Culpa - Our Performance on Internet Explorer Is Sad

We would like to acknowledge that we are experiencing serious performance issues with Internet Explorer 8.0.  The GetQuik development team is exploring ways to fix the Internet Explorer issues, and also speed on the site in general.  The load times for menu pages and adding items to a check are particular areas of focus for our performance tuning.  We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend that customers use alternative browsers such as Firefox 3.6 for better response time.

Internet Explorer has some known issues with pages that have heavy JavaScript.  We are studying the recommendations to better code our pages in order to solve these issues.  We will update our blog as we make progress on our performance issues.

We have tabled some development features in order to better focus our technical resources on the performance issues, and hope to have a workable solution soon.  We believe that our "top hat" solution will finally put an end to the leak in the Gulf... sorry, wrong crisis.  Seriously though, we are working hard to address the performance issues.

UPDATE:  We have today released an update to the GetQuik system that dramatically improves the GetQuik experience on IE.  Yeah GQ developers!
