How to: Tip (Tips on Tipping!)

So you might have realized that you have more than one way to tip the restaurants on the GetQuik network. (By the way, the tip does go to the driver/restaurant, we don't pocket them).

Getting confused with all the different tipping method? Here's a simple guide and explanation of the 3 tipping method:


1. Tip with order: The tip is charged to your credit card/ billing account along with the charges for the food upon checkout. Tip is paid before the food is delivered. Restaurant is able to see how much the customer is tipping upon receiving the order.

-This most common type of tipping on GetQuik. The tip charges and food charges are consolidated into one receipt and a single charge on the creditcard/ bill.

2.Tip after delivery: Customer enters an intended tip amount during checkout but this tip is not charged until 1 hour after the stipulated delivery time. The customer is able to change the tip amount any time before the tip is charged.Restaurant sees "$--.-- tipping later!" on the tip field on the received order.

At the "PAYMENT INFO" page of the Check-Out procedure, click the Pull Down menu arrow and select the "Post gratuity after delivery" option.

From your Order Confirmation email, you can now manage your "post-order tip".  You have up until 1 hour to modify the original specified tip for your order.  Once you click the "Modify Tip" link as illustrated in Figure 2, you will be presented with an option to change the tip amount. 

One hour after your order delivery time has passed, the tip amount you have specified will post. 

Perfect for you want to tip after the delivery but prefers to be billed/use credit card (corporate accounting friendly!) instead of cash. The tip charges and food charges are on two separate receipt and two separate charges will be reflected on the credit card/bill.

3.Cash tip: Tip the delivery guy with cash upon delivery. The restaurant will see "Cash tip" on the tip field so that they know they are still being appreciated for their work!

Good ol' fashioned way of tipping!

How to: Post -Tip

Tipping is a customer's way of saying thank you to the restaurant and it's staff for the excellent service that they've provided. Of course naturally you will want to tip at end of the entire dining experience but ordering and paying online makes this almost impossible.


But now you can with the GetQuik Post-Tip!

Here's how it works:

1.During your check-out you will see a "Post gratuity after delivery" option beside the driver's gratuity amount field. Select this option. (Driver gratuity is shown if the order is a delivery. Tip will be shown if you are doing a take out) .

2.Enter the amount that you intend to tip and check-out as per normal.

3.You will have up to 1 hour after the delivery has been made to modify the intended tip amount. To modify the tip amount you can do it via the the dashboard or order confirmation (coming soon):

My Transactions in My Dashboard (screen you are brought to once you log in):

a. Click list view in My Transactions.

b. Find the order number of interest and click on the edit icon (circled in red) beside the reorder, write review buttons.

c. A request pop-up will appear and you will be able to adjust the tip. Remember to select the radio button to "Adjust Tip". Click request and the tip will be finalized.

OR

Order confirmation (coming soon):

a. There will be a "CLICK HERE to modify the tip amount" in the top of the confirmation email sent to you

b. There's another link beside the tip amount field in the Order confirmation as well. NOTE: As shown in the picture, the tip amount is not shown to the merchant.

4. An updated order confirmation will be sent to your email.
5. If you do not change the tip amount, the intended tip amount entered initially will be posted one hour after the stipulated delivery time.

NOTE: Since the intended tip will be automatically posted one hour after the delivery time, you will receive an error message if you try to edit the tip amount later than one hour after the delivery time.
